Product Description

Preclick IPM is a fast, easy way to share photos that works just like instant messaging. Users can select and send sets of photos directly to their friends’ and family’s desktops. IPM shares photos as animated greetings or shows. Friends and family can then order prints, print the photos at home, save them or add them to their screensavers—all in a few clicks, without fiddling with attachments in email or going to a Website.

Market Opportunity

United States households spend $150 a year on photography, with 40% going to Wal-Mart, Costco and Sam’s Club. As 70% of households go digital, the number of images will triple, but print revenue will drop. If just 1% more images are printed that are otherwise trapped in email or on hard drives, it will yield $930 million revenue worldwide.

Demo Says

Though many, many have tried, no one yet has hit the sweet spot with photo sharing. The photo management sector has some strong candidates for innovation—several of which are DEMO alums—but we still have made only glacial improvements in sharing pictures with friends and family. Preclick brings a fun new product that marks a signifi cant change in how we handle photos. The Instant Photo Messenger is just as it sounds: Send pictures to others in an instant-messaging-like format. Photos pop-up on the recipient’s screen and can be viewed immediately or saved for later. Send greeting cards, animated slideshows or individual shots. A super-intuitive interface allows recipients to print, save and copy for later. It’s exactly what is needed in photo sharing—simple, creative software with no learning curve.
